When: 23 November 2010
Time: 9:00 for 9:30am – 12:30pm
Where: Lecture Rooms 06 and 08, Orchard Learning Resources Centre, Hamilton Drive, off Weoley Park Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6QW
Organised by: Faiths for the City
The proposed Museum of World Religions (MWR) is a major new interfaith project for the city of Birmingham. At this Consultation, which will take the form of a Symposium, it is hoped that participants will get involved in an open discussion about the concept -- to express their comments, voice their criticisms, or come with different ideas, and eventually to form a local committee to carry the project forward.
Faiths for the City would also welcome participants who want to respond to the Concept Paper more formally, by making a longer ‘statement’ (to speak, say, for between five and ten minutes) -- whether this would be to express a personal view or to speak as a representative of a faith community or an interfaith organisation. Please consult with your friends, colleagues, and members of your faith communities, and let us know by 10th November if you would like to offer such a statement, so that we can prepare the Consultation Symposium programme accordingly.
