The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) is delivering a new Faith Community Development programme in partnership with a variety of providers including further education colleges, local authorities, community adult education providers and commuity training organsiations. NIACE has been asked to deliver the programme by the Department of Communities and Local Government, following the successful completion of the first pilot phase - conducted in Leicester, Tower Hamlets, Sheffield and Bradford.
The Faith Community Development qualification aims to develop the communication, representation, safeguarding and other skills of chaplains so that they can operate more effectively and confidently within their working environments and wider community.
