The program is based on the broadly held view of leading experts that greater access to a combination of education and business support services best address barriers to growth.

A new course for Chaplains

The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) is delivering a new Faith Community Development programme in partnership with a variety of providers including further education colleges, local authorities, community adult education providers and commuity training organsiations. NIACE has been asked to deliver the programme by the Department of Communities and Local Government, following the successful completion of the first pilot phase - conducted in Leicester, Tower Hamlets, Sheffield and Bradford.

The Faith Community Development qualification aims to develop the communication, representation, safeguarding and other skills of chaplains so that they can operate more effectively and confidently within their working environments and wider community.

FREE Support for Social Entrepreneurs in Birmingham

The Institute for Social Entrepreneurs has secured over £470k from the Big Lottery to fund additional training and support for social entrepreneurs in the City. The new service will be provided by a partnership that includes iSE, Business in the Community, Jericho Foundation and Birmingham & Solihull Social Economy Consortium.

The service will be open to all Birmingham residents who want to grow or start a social enterprise in Birmingham and is free of charge.
