Coventry Multi-Faith Forum

Main aims: To celebrate diversity and foster harmony between different communities by increasing knowledge and understanding of each other's ideals. At an individual level, the Forum endeavours to encourage personal development through promoting higher values in our daily lives. To take part in positive activities such as "Peace Walk" and "One World" celebrations.

Faiths and beliefs currently involved: Baha'i; Buddhist; Christian; Hindu; Muslim; Sikh; Zoroastrian 

Activities: Multi faith dialogue; discussion meetings on religious topics; discussion meetings on social issues; multi faith pilgrimage or peace walk; promoting good relations/community cohesion; making statements on current issues; prayer/worship; social gatherings; shared meals; educational events/exhibitions; women’s meetings; young people’s meetings; environmental projects; assisting on multi faith civic ceremonies; providing advice/assistance to public bodies; acting as a consultative forum on local issues for local government; sending representatives to serve on local strategic initiatives.

Membership Policy: Anyone who lives in Coventry or the surrounding area who belongs to a recognised faith group and is sympathetic to the aims of the Multi-Faith Forum is eligible to join.
