There's No Place Like Home

West Midlands Faiths Forum, in partnership with Birmingham City Council's Fostering and Adoption Service, invite you to attend the launch of a bold new project, aimed at addressing a pressing need in the city of Birmingham: foster care.

This event aims to promote:

The concept of family and family values
Faith community support for family as a key building block for society
Opportunities to build families through fostering and/or adoption.

Where: Birmingham City Council, Council Houses

Ongoing: Burton Upon Trent Women's Inter Faith Network

burton_up_trent- Bring & share meal: Last Friday each month (6.00-8.00 venue tba)

- Denton coffee morning: First Thursday each month (10.00-11.30)

 - Women of Faith: First Wednesday each month – Cafe Zen (5.00-6.00)

Special events to bring women of faith together for friendship, mutual understanding  and fun and to give them a voice in the community.

Ongoing: Language, Faith and Culture Programme

This programme will draw together people from the local community, representing a diverse range of ethnicities and religions, who are interested in developing their English skills in order to express their faith and culture and to articulate their concerns. Take home activities will be provided in order to involve children and other family members.

Its taking place at the The Nishkam Centre, 6 Soho Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, B21 9BH

Women’s group meets on Fridays from 9.30 to 11.30: Starting on Friday 6th November

Men's group meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm: Starting on Wednesday 27th January 2010
